Contours VI:  Efflorescence

 

As with all works in the Contours series, “Efflorescence” uses texture as one of its most prominent elements to enhance the viewer’s experience.  With its cheerful, pastel pinks melding into canary yellows, the palette connotes spring and the delight of flowers at first bloom.  The artist's addition of pronounced texture to canvas creates a three-dimensional nature to the work, imparting an almost sculptural quality to the visual experience.
