Contours  III

 

In contrast with Contours I and II, Contours III experiments with a lighter, sunnier color foundation, pulling together a cheerful blend of yellows, peaches and periwinkle.  The three-dimensional peaks and valleys on the canvas surface, characteristic of the series, are kissed with the shimmer of metallic silver to add a radiance to this piece.  In trademark style, BWPryor uses the canvas to journey beyond the traditional, two-dimensional painting, preferring instead to engage the viewer’s senses in a three-dimensional experience.  Though small in size, this canvas will capture the eye with its unusual 3-D composition of color with texture!
